Our entry-level professional positions are an ideal step beyond college. We're looking for bright, enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals who fully understand modern business principles and quality-conscious consumers, people with the desire and aptitude to advance in our global organization.

Ford Motor Credit Company is one of the world's largest automotive finance companies and has supported the sale of Ford products since 1959. With more than 14,000 employees, Ford Motor Credit operates in 36 countries and manages approximately $149 billion in receivables. We currently have 13 service centers and 74 branches.

Our Work and Career Areas

Our services cover a variety of financial services. We finance new, used and leased vehicles through Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealers, as well as those affiliated with our manufacturers in the United States and abroad. We offer wholesale financing, mortgages and capital loans for dealers. We provide insurance for both dealers and retail customers -- we offer or administer auto insurance, extended service contracts, credit life and disability insurance, and wholesale inventory insurance. We are one of the world's largest issuers of corporate debt securities. And we are involved in various global funding activities -- the sale of commercial paper, placement of underwritten debt offerings in U.S. and foreign markets, and the sale of continuously offered medium-term notes.

Ford Credit College Recruiting and Development Program

Our 18- to 24-month development program prepares you for supervisory positions in field operations. The program includes carefully planned training and mentoring as you develop the experience you need to advance in the organization. You will receive a solid foundation, working with customers in one of our service centers, with training that includes three weeks in the classroom and 11 weeks on the job.

Extensive Training

First, you'll become proficient in the skills required of all customer service representatives in account maintenance and loss prevention. Leadership development opportunities will include serving as a co-trainer for new hires, learning about our account services / vehicle liquidations department, and serving as a team lead assistant. Your program includes over 200 hours of classroom training in leadership development, human resources and technical team leadership topics. In addition, you'll take at least 40 hours of self-paced training to understand how our marketing and sales branches work.

Future Career Opportunities

At the end of your developmental program, you could be ready to move into one of two positions. You might become a team leader in a customer service center, or you could become a dealer service analyst, working with our dealers to bring new customer business to Ford Credit. Both of these opportunities have their own training program to provide the support you need for success in your new assignment. Of course, your career growth depends on factors such as your proven ability and preferences, as well as our business needs.

Preferred Background

Qualified candidates typically have a bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. You should have a real interest in automotive financial services and excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills. Related work experience is a plus. Finally, it's important to be willing to relocate to any Ford Credit North America assignment.
